Hyatt Grand Cypress Orlando Unveils Enhanced Recreation Activities and Much More
Hi everyone!
We were invited to a media event to check out the newly refurbished Hyatt Grand Cypress last week! We will share much more of this gorgeous resort once we stay there in the upcoming month (we plan an extensive photo walk, resort review, along with videos). The Hyatt Grand Cypress is highly rated on Trip Advisor, and for good reason – the recreation options here really shine!
Unfortunately it was raining heavily during the event, but the weather cleared briefly so that we could check out the heart of the resort, which includes the beautiful lagoon pool, jacuzzis, fitness center and much more. The Hyatt Grand Cypress charges a resort fee, but the great thing about it is that it includes most of the recreation! That is what I am focusing on today.
The refurbishment has taken about 18 months, with the rooms upgraded in 2011 – but they looked very fresh. For those looking for a coffee fix in the morning, Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea are available to make in-room.
Fresh flowers were in the lobby during our event.
The lagoon pool is gorgeous, with waterfalls cascading down. This pool is the signature attraction at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, and includes 12 waterfalls and two whirlpools.
We love the tunnel behind the waterfalls – this area reminds me of Discovery Cove!
One of the two jacuzzis is outside, this one is in the “tunnel” area.
A rainbow formed as we took a walk along the rope bridge above the pool.
Interactive fountains with multi-colored lights are a cool respite on a hot day – and we’ll be having plenty of those soon. If you look to the left, you’ll see the new Water Slide Tower Pavilion.
Boats and kayaks rest at sunset on private Lake Windsong. Walking and biking paths, along with golfing can be found around the lake.
There is a great deal of care taken in the lush landscaping. I love the statues!
From upstairs, you can see how expansive the recreation area – including the pools – is.
The Hyatt Grand Cypress includes a s’mores pit with fireside storytelling and classic family marshmallow roasting fun, beach volleyball, tether ball, watersports, canopied surrey bikes, canoes, and so much more. This is a great place for a weeklong vacation or a staycation, especially if you are looking to relax and enjoy the resort amenities!
