Disney Announces Monstrous Summer With Mike Wazowski, Sulley on Spaceship Earth (Photos, Video)

Disney announced it’s Monstrous Summer promotion this evening at Epcot. Not a surprise is the 24 hour “all-nighter”, which begins on May 24th at 6:00 a.m. and continues until 6:00 a.m. on May 25th in three parks – Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disneyland in California and Disney’s California Adventure. Mike Wazowski made a special appearance on Spaceship Earth to announce the event, and even Sulley showed up to put a scare into the proceedings!

In Florida, the Magic Kingdom will feature a Monsters University theme. Mike and Sulley will be Grand Marshals in the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade, and will make appearances in Tomorrowland. Characters in pajamas will greet guests in Town Square overnight into early morning, and dance parties will take place.

In California, the party will continue through the night with a Monsters University “TLT Monstrous” Dance Club and Star Wars characters in tomorrowland. Mickey’s Toontown will feature pajama-clad characters. A live band and dancing will take place in the new Fantasy Faire Royal Theater at Disneyland, and “Monstrous photo opportunities” will be available in Disney’s California Adventure. There will also be a new Monsters University float leading the Pixar Play Parade.
