Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Shows Now Available to All Guests (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
Christmas has fully arrived to the Magic Kingdom, as “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”, along with the shows “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas”, “Celebrate the Season” and “Holiday Wishes” have become available to day guests.
The parade and shows have been playing during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party through the holiday season, in a nighttime setting with fewer guests than we encountered yesterday.
My recommendation for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is to arrive early. We chose a spot – there were tons of great places – about an hour before the parade kicked off.
I always enjoy getting to see the parade and stage shows during the day. It’s a totally different experience than at night! My favorite characters in the parade are always the prancing reindeer and toy soldiers. Here are photos of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” and more.
The Main Street Philharmonic preceded Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Characters including Pluto, Tigger and Jiminy Cricket front the parade.
Mickey and Minnie are on their float with Duffy the Disney Bear in a Santa outfit.
Skaters are next.
Scrooge McDuck stands on his house float.
Donald and Daisy are in a horse-drawn carriage.
Skiers follow them.
Chip and Dale are on a float, throwing snowballs.
Royal couples and dancers are next, including Snow White and her prince in the gazebo float.
Cinderella and Prince Charming are in the coach.
The mirror float features Belle and Beast, Ariel and Prince Eric and more royal couples – along with the Fairy Godmother.
Goofy pedals his candy company float.
Horace is on this gingerbread house float.
The gingerbread men are next.
Clarabelle is on her float.
The “Toy Story” group is next.
Woody and Jessie stand atop the float.
Bullseye is also here.
The toy soldiers are a favorite of mine!
One of the reindeer came up to me.
Santa is always at the end of the parade.
He made a heart with his hands.
The parade is always beautiful during the day (and at night during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party).
I went into Main Street Emporium. Duffy the Disney Bear is being sold with a “2013” shirt.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party t-shirts were still for sale:
My one guilty pleasure of the day was watching “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas”. This stage was originally built for Stitch’s Supersonic Celebration, a show that closed within 6 weeks of it’s 2009 debut. I’ve always enjoyed “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” since it debuted later that same year. “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” features Stitch, Mike Wazowski, and Buzz Lightyear.
Here are photos from the show.
Even though it was crowded, getting a table near the Plaza Restaurant was easier than usual.
We watched part of the “Celebrate the Season” show after lunch. I find this a much more fun show during the day, it’s easier to see from different areas around the hub.
If you plan to head to the Magic Kingdom during the next week, definitely enjoy the extra dash of Christmas spirit that is part of your ticket into the park!
