9/10 Fairy Periwinkle From “Secret of the Wings” Debuts at Disneyland, Tinker Bell in Winter Clothes
Hi everyone!
We spent 11 nights in the Anaheim area, and enjoyed quite a few days taking photos and video around Disneyland and the re-imagined Disney California Adventure to share with you! The first article I'm posting is from our last day, when frost fairy Periwinkle made her debut.
Periwinkle is from the upcoming film "Secret of the Wings", which will bow on Blu-ray/DVD this October 23rd.
There is a small, detailed sculpture of Periwinkle as guests walk in:
Pixie Hollow is in the shadow of the Matterhorn, and is now themed for winter. Periwinkle is a winter fairy, and is Tinker Bell's twin sister (but they didn't know it until now). The meet-and-greet was low key, we had to ask if Periwinkle would be there.
Periwinkle was playing "hide and seek" with us upon arrival, though it was easy to find her!
In our video of Periwinkle and Tinker Bell, I mention that Tink "sounds like Donkey". It makes me laugh to hear that, but it's true! We'd been to Universal Studios Hollywood the previous day for a press event, and enjoyed the park afterward. While taking photos of Donkey, he kept yelling "cheese!" everytime I took a picture. Tinker Bell did exactly the same thing. She was in terrific form, very perky and fun.
Tinker Bell was in her winter outfit (quite a feat on a 90 degree or so day!)
We enjoyed meeting Periwinkle and Tinker Bell! Remember to check out our video that includes meeting both fairies.
"Secret of the Wings" just debuted theatrically at the El Capitan theater, and will be available to own next month!
