9/2 Maurice’s Cottage & Enchanted Tales with Belle Preview – Photos and Video
Hi everyone!
A friend of ours had the opportunity to tour Maurice's Cottage yesterday morning, as part of a Cast Member preview. We have photos inside the Cottage, as well as video of the Enchanted Tales with Belle experience!
It's still a few months away until the new Fantasyland section opens fully to guests. We are always happy to share "first looks" at different sections of this new area, from Gaston's fountain statue to the Be Our Guest Restaurant sign to this new experience!
The detail and rockwork outside Maurice's Cottage is gorgeous. Our friend took a couple of photos outside of the walls before venturing towards Maurice's Cottage. The Cast Member costume here seems to have a similar cut to the one that Cast Members wear in Storybook Circus.
Our friend could only take photos or video at any given time. Here, you'll see photos inside Maurice's Cottage – but video only of the enchanted mirror, Madame Wardrobe (a fantastic audio-animatronic) and Belle.
Inside, there is artwork on the walls that includes a portrait of Belle and her mom. Books are piled on the floor, and references to characters such as a candlestick for Lumiere and a teapot and cup referencing Mrs. Potts and Chip can be found here. A height chart for Belle is on the wall,as are tapestries.
About 40 guests are let through at a time, which looks pretty crammed in some areas – but not in others (as you will see in the video).
At this point, we turn to the videos (a total of 16 minutes between two videos), before heading back outside. Watch the mirror effect – that is what we have been told is the most impressive part of this attraction.
Jeff noticed this gargoyle outside behind two Imagineers in one of the photos (I'm not sure how Jeff found it so easily, the photo had to be heavily cropped to see much).
Remember to check out our video of the experience! Expect more previews to come, it sounds like they will be for regular guests as well as Cast Members in the near future (just from what we've been told).
