8/20 Rainforest Cafe Construction Scrim Partially Blown Down in Storm, Downtown Disney

Hi everyone!

We were at Downtown Disney today, heading over to take photos of the construction at the Rainforest Cafe after a meal at the Earl of Sandwich. Instead of getting regular contruction shots, we found that some of the scrim with wood attached had fallen during a storm that blew through. I read another report online saying nobody was hurt.

We hadn't even realized it was raining until we were leaving the restaurant, but apparently the wind was strong. Cast Members and managers kept guests from walking past the Rainforest Cafe. This is a good reminder to stay put inside during a storm, you never know what could blow around.

 

 

While we were at Downtown Disney, we stopped in the Hanes Design-a-Tee shop. It's been a long time since I had the chance to check out the designs without a long line (and I never waited). I didn't realize there were some resort specific t-shirt designs available! Not all of the resorts, but some – like Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

 

 

At the Disney's Days of Christmas Shop, there are LE Christmas ornaments that you can find also online – I'd not seen them before today. There are many different characters, including Lightning McQueen, Rapunzel, Mater, Wall-E and some of the villains.

We should have a nice Epcot update tomorrow – the weather held up much better there prior to our Downtown Disney stop!
