8/6 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Little Mermaid Section Preview – Ariel, Flounder, King Triton
Hi everyone!
I will have two updates today – one a Lion King section photo tour, the other a look at the Little Mermaid section of Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Lion King buildings are open for test stays, given to Cast Members at Disney's Reservation Center. I worked at DRC back when the Animal Kingdom Lodge opened, and was delighted to be able to stay one night before it opened!
We also have a video sharing the Little Mermaid area of Disney's Art of Animation Resort! Check out our whole YouTube playlist of Disny's Art of Animation Resort, starting from construction until now! We are documenting the resort as each section opens.
Apparently there is a lot of confusion with guests about why they can't fit 6 guests into a Little Mermaid room, or why the other sections cost so much. The Little Mermaid section holds standard rooms only – the rooms will fit 4 guests plus one infant under 3 per room. The family suites fit 6 in a room plus one infant under 3 – the suites are about double the size of two standard rooms. For questions on what will be the best fit for your family, fill out the form at our Travel Partner Fairy Godmother Travel, and let them know that Mousesteps sent you!
Dolphins on one building can be seen from the parking lot, and the decorations along the buildings are viewed from just outside the Lion King section. King Triton, Ariel, Ursula, and Flounder are all in the Courtyard. Keep reading and you'll see plenty of photos of all of the characters, along with the pool and even a fork and treasure chest!
