6/4 Pixar Brave Highland Games Tournament, Epcot – Sand Castle, Games, Free Buttons!
Hi everyone!
The Pixar Brave Highland Games Tournament area of Epcot debuted this past weekend, with guests lining up to play games such as the Mini Caber Toss, Cake Toss and the Haggis Flip! And every guest that spins the wheel receives a Brave button. There are 4 buttons, each with a different clan from the film. We collected all 4!
Check out our video which shows a full overview, including all the games!
The Brave Highland Games Tournament runs through July 8th, 2012, and is found along the Rose Walk at Epcot – between Future World and World Showcase, and with the Imagination Pavilion in view.
There are tents near the playground that had been left over from Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival, with comfy seats to sit in – and free WiFi! I hope that extends to all the parks eventually, just as it has the resorts.
There are four clans in Brave – Dunbroch, Dingwall, MacIntosh and MacGuffin. They are mentioned on the tents, on banners, and on the buttons. There are character photos inside the tents as well:

We got in line to spin the wheel, each receiving a button in the process (I'll show all 4 buttons at the end).
The first activity is archery. Both of us tried this one – it's similar to the setup at the Princess Merida meet-and-greet at the Magic Kingdom.
My favorite activity was the Haggis Flip:

I misheard the Mini Caber Toss as "Camera Toss". 🙂 Our video shows all the games in this area! Jeff tried this one out.
Guests can use a crayon on paper to create an imprint of their clan:

And there is also another small giveaway – these look like postcards on one side. On the flip side, they are games for kids.
There is a new book on Amazon called The Art of Brave – we love all our "Art of" books, and plan to get it this week. It's currently nearly half price off the cover!
If you are at Walt Disney World during the month of June (anytime through July 8th), be sure to stop by the Highland Games Tournament at Epcot! We can't wait for the movie, which officially opens on June 22nd.
