5/31 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Grand Opens with Meg Crofton, Mickey, Minnie, and More!

Hi everyone!

This is just a quick update from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, I'll be sharing much more coverage this weekend! Today, Disney's Art of Animation Resort celebrated it's Grand Opening for media, invited guests and resort guests.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort opened it's Finding Nemo buildings today, with Cars set to open on June 18th. 

President of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Operations Meg Crofton spoke to guests in front of Disney's Art of Animation Resort this morning:

 

 

Crofton wore a glittery Nemo necklace:

We were on a tour of the pool area, and I took a photo of Nemo, Dory and Crush:

 

 

Scoopable gelato! Yes, we tried it – and we sampled a flavor we'd not tried before as well.

 

 

There was a pool party for opening day – a special one that included Mickey dressed in casual beach clothes (as well as free mini cupcakes and Rice Krispie treats). This little boy couldn't contain himself, and ran to Mickey!
