5/23 Gaston Surprise Meet & Greet at Epcot, Training for Gaston’s Tavern Fantasyland

Hi everyone!

Gaston was in Epcot today, surprising and delighting guests as he trained for what might be a future role in the Fantasyland expansion. Wendy Darling was an unexpected bonus for guests as she met them at the International Gateway!

We spent a couple of minutes with Wendy Darling, and Jeff asked her a couple of questions on video – you can see that here!

 

 

We have rarely seen Gaston in the parks – I believe the last time was during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2011, and I'm not sure when before that. He is a terrific character, and I do hope Gaston will eventully be a regular inside of Fantasyland! It was fun watching guests reactions as he told them how happy they must be to meet him! Whatever the reason for Gaston, it was a great time getting to see him today! We were on our way to La Hacienda for dinner, and enjoyed the added character bonuses. I am looking forward to seeing Gaston's Tavern in the new Fantasyland, and hope we'll see more of Gaston there too.
