5/18 Star Wars Weekends Opening Day – Motorcade, Stars of the Saga, Hyperspace Hoopla, More!

 

On our way to lunch, we found Chewbacca and an Ewok greeting guests:

 

 

 

We split a bowl of chicken curry along with a Darth Vader cupcake at the ABC Commissary:

One of the areas I always like to stake out most is at the Dark Side of the park. Aurra Sing, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Zam Wessel, Stormtroopers and many other favorite characters menace guests (and sign autographs). Some are walk-around characters, but I tend to hang out near the character entrance/exit, to get photos of Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Boba Fett and others as they head backstage (and onstage). This past Friday, one poor Cast Member pushing a trash can was startled silly by Darth Maul as he made his way back!

I used to spend hours in this area, but now that we visit most of the talk shows, there isn't as much time. Hopefully in the upcoming weeks!
