Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort Photo Walk 2012 – 180 Photos
I recommend the PassPorter's Walt Disney World 2012 guidebook and the Canon SX40HS!
Walking past the main building, which is also known as the Sassagoula Steamboat Company.
Something I don't see every day – a manure recycling bucket:
I've taken the horse drawn carriage rides more at Fort Wilderness, but we've taken it once here as well. It's really a nice way to spend a half hour.
We'll look inside the main building later, it houses pretty much everything you'll need – dining, shopping, reservations, and the River Roost bar.
Rental boats:
Hair wraps:
We arrive to the bridge at 12:46pm, just two minutes after we start the timed portion of the walk.
Looking back at the Riverside Mill (food court), with the big water wheel out front:
Walking across the bridge:
We are heading toward the 3 1/2 acre Ol' Man Island, which is an old fashioned swimmin' hole – complete with a children's pool and a jacuzzi. There is a pool slide, but guests were using it (I don't like to take pictures with guests visible around the pool, which is part of the reason why my photo walks usually start very early).
