Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort Photo Walk 2012 – Nearly 120 Photos
I was planning to start the photo walk in the courtyard outside of the main building, but it is under rehab until early March (2012). Instead, I went off to the right – near building 1 – in a beautiful park-like setting with a fountain bordered by the "streets" Rue D. Blues and Jazz Alley. You'll find interesting names of street signs along the way!
I take photos of the walk first, and then I time it. It took me a total of 4 hours to do everything, only 40 minutes of that was actually timing the walk.
We are starting the walk at 12:34pm at this fountain. The courtyard is nestled in between buildings 1, 2 and 3, and we'll be walking towards the main building with food court area (and then past it). If you want a more direct walk, you can just walk to the water and turn left – taking it all the way to Port Orleans Riverside. We will see that walkway more on the way back (it will be in the Port Orleans Riverside Photo Walk).
We are exiting the park, turning right at Jazz Alley, taking a left at Rue D' Blues and then a right at Rue D' Baga:
Rue D'Blues, where we are making the left:
The street names are also noted on the sidewalks:
There are signs for the pool and laundry, which are just a couple of minutes from this location. The main street we are walking on is Rue D'Baga as we pass the pool area and food court.
The playground is on the right hand side as we walk:
