1/15 Magic Kingdom Photo Update – New Fantasyland, Dumbo, Big Thunder Mountain
Hi everyone!
Yesterday was an incredibly busy day at the Magic Kingdom! Even Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin was a full hour wait during the afternoon. We did get some detailed photos of Fantasyland construction and around the park. I hadn't previously had a chance to share photos from the last ride on Dumbo yet, so I'm adding them as well.
We already have a Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom update, as well as our photos and video from when Dumbo was testing in Storybook Circus! Unfortunately, it looks like Dumbo will be opening in mid-March (March 12th) instead of February.
I took some photos of the Grand Floridian DVC construction work from the boat:
The tree and decorations are now mostly gone from the park (the Emporium windows did still have Mickey's Christmas Carol displays in them).
Scrims are up in several areas of Main Street:
Both sides of the Main Street bridge are being worked on:
The Ice Cream Parlor was closed:

The first photos are some detailed rock work behind the wall, the last photo is what that area looked like just a few days ago:
