Disney’s Pop Century Resort Photo Walk 2012 in 200 Photos
We made a left at the end of the pool area and then another left, walking around the pool. We are now on the side with Baloo and Mowgli from The Jungle Book, heading toward Classic Hall:
The pool was closed at the time I walked by:

At this point, I’m not timing the walk, I just wanted to show a little of the inside. The timed walk will start back up again where we just left off.
Walking into Classic Hall:
Right inside the door are the bathrooms and an arcade:
The arcade is spacious:
I walked through the lobby, where there are displays that feature items from different decades, such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller album cover and a Circus magazine. I have always enjoyed these displays.

Everything Pop is a both a gift shop and a food court! This has long been one of my favorite food courts at Walt Disney World.

The food court does get very busy in the mornings. I recommend getting there very early, or after the breakfast rush.
Walking back into the Classic Hall lobby area, I take a right to go outside the front entrance. The bus transportation to the parks and Downtown Disney is out here.

The bus transportation to the parks is where you see all the “POP” signs:

We are walking back inside, and then out the back to where we stopped the timed portion of our walk:
Remember we are starting our time at 11:01, and taking a left past the outside seating area of the Everything Pop food court:
It doesn’t take long to get to Goofy’s Pop Jets, which used to be a water play area. I didn’t see any jets, just concrete – I remember there being a construction wall here months ago, it looks like it’s just an area now to take photos.
We are walking straight towards the foosball court, Hot Wheels icon and a giant Mickey telephone. I arrive here at 11:05am. This is one of the more interesting areas of the resort for me, the larger-than-life foosball players always seem to draw guests for photos.
And continuing in the same direction, we’ll be ending at the Twister board at 11:08am, 25 minutes after I started (remember that does not include the photos or stop inside, just the walk itself). The walk should be just over a mile long, maybe a mile and a quarter.
Building 10:
There are areas that didn’t make the photo walk – the kids playground, which I’ve rarely seen, the cell phone icons that cover the stairwells and more. But I hope you enjoyed this walk through the resort, I love the lake and walking alongside it in the early morning or late at night is very relaxing for me.
Thanks for reading my walk!
