12/8 Denise’s Corner – Holiday Round-Up of the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts
Hi everyone!
It’s been a busy holiday season! Early November kicked off with lighting of the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights (on the same day we went to Discovery Cove for the first time), followed by the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and this year’s enhanced Osborne Lights. We enjoyed ICE! at the Gaylord Palms Resort, and have been visiting the various parks and resorts to photograph the Christmas decorations. In the next week, we plan to visit Sea World and Universal!

We also spent part of a day at the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade Taping, taking photos and video of Justin Bieber in the morning (he was singing his new song from the album “Under the Mistletoe”). Samantha Brown also was hosting at least one segment with Mario Lopez, and we have photos of that along with more parade pics!
Have you been getting your free Disney Movie Rewards points? Now through December 25th, Disney is releasing 5 points per day (Friday counts as 3 days, for 15 points). Just visit here each day, and go to “Deck the Halls”! It sometimes takes until later afternoon EST to have the points posted. I started with Disney Movie Rewards one year ago with free points (adding DVD and movie points throughout the year), and we’ve already cashed in for a nice Disney Studios ball cap and a $20.00 Disney gift card (and we are back up to 1600 points again). It doesn’t take long to save for something nice if you buy a DVD/Blu-ray occasionally and/or see Disney films in the theater.
