11/1 Fort Wilderness Halloween Golf Cart Parade, Decorations, Pumpkin Carving and Disney Characters

We enjoyed the tremendous character interaction at Mickey's Backyard BBQ for Halloween! We were fortunate to get a discount rate through friends, which made the event affordable for us. The food was mostly good, I'll have a review of it soon. Here are some of my favorite character photos! (the characters we took pictures with were Wendell, Big Al, Donald, Mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale, Meeko and Pochantas, along with Goofy). We have a video of the characters too!

We all went to the beach to watch the Happy HalloWishes fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant:

 

 

 

We walked around to see some more decorations, and also stopped by a campsite we'd visited before (we'd heard they won second place). The guests at the campground often visit year after year, and are like family to one another. We have seen many of them often as well.

 

 

2nd place! They spent 2 days putting up the decorations, along with more time tweaking the campsite.  The guests at this site were so tickled to win, and the prize was a nice one – a fishing excursion for five guests!
