LEGOLAND Florida Opening Day Photos and Video & “The Beginning” of the Park
The Brunner family from Lake Mary, Florida was the first family into the park. They arrived early enough to not only win that distinction, but to receive free annual passes for all 6 in their party! We have video coverage of the family in our opening day video.
As guests entered the park, they enjoyed walk-around LEGOLAND characters as well as the LEGO displays that are part of the landscape. Right inside the entrance, guests can rent strollers for the day as well as lockers (though since guests can't take loose items on so many attractions, I'd like to see the type of free short-term lockers that Universal has near the LEGOLAND rides).
Guests were greeted by Model Citizens (employees) as they walked past the shops and restaurants at what LEGOLAND refers to as The Beginning of the park. Just a note here – I recommend the Market Restaurant, which serves a wide variety of meals – the rotisserie chicken was wonderful. We'll talk more about restaurants in an upcoming article! In The Beginning, there is also The Big Shop and Island in the Sky attraction.
We'll be taking a look at the Pirates Ski Show, The Battle for Brickbeard's Bounty in our next article, but we do have a video of it up for you to enjoy now!
