8/2/2011 Magic Kingdom Photo Update – Fantasyland, Enchanted Tiki Room
Hi everyone!
The Enchanted Tiki Room sign disappeared yesterday, as it gets ready to become “Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room”.
I was very happy to see “Under New Management” gone! Now the only place you see those three words is on the retro 40th Anniversary merchandise – apparently not everyone realizes that “The Enchanted Tiki Room – Under New Management” wasn’t a classic attraction!
Here are photos from yesterday.
Now for the rest of the Magic Kingdom photos I promised yesterday.
Entering into the Magic Kingdom, we noticed that a new scrim is up at the train station. We also passed by Pinocchio.
We stopped by the Main Street Bakery and bought an ice cream sandwich to split (and it’s still too much for the two of us!) 3 scoops of ice cream and 2 jumbo cookies is a lot. 🙂
Push the Talking Trash Can was out and about, we have a video of him here!
The Enchanted Grove:
The White Rabbit:
We’ll have some more Fantasyland photos later in the article, but it was nice to be there on a weekday – we don’t usually see much work going on during the weekends! We also had an update a few days back with extensive Magic Kingdom photos.
Mickey in the clouds:
We received a Philharmagic “Surprise Fastpass” (not much of a surprise!), but we actually used it since it was so hot.
We went through an entrance we’d not been in before:
The blue curtains were not there:
Looking forward to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room!
Facade:
Angelica was outside:
The little pirate girl was back in the shop:
Woody and Jessie:
We had a nice view of Fantasyland from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, I had never seen the bridge at the Mermaid building before.
We took the train from Frontierland – not only do you see upcoming Fantasyland station close up, but we could now see through a portion of the fence.
The newest issue of the D23 magazine is fantastic! There are a lot of retro photos and articles, and I can’t recommend it enough.
I don’t remember this sign on the way out:
I’ve been working on photos from our quick Vero Beach trip (I’ll have over 250 pictures up soon!) Thanks to Jeff at JeffLangeDVD for the great videos!
