7/18 Magic Kingdom Update – Fantasyland, Tiki Room, Extreme Makeover Home Edition Event

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was taping at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday afternoon. We heard about it just an hour and a half before it happened from a friend. Barbara Marshall, a former Navy officer who assists homeless women veterans, received a free 7 day Walt Disney World trip in addition to the parade, flyover (and a new home to house Marshall and her family, as well as other women veterans in need of a place to live). The parade included all the branches of the military service, who surrounded Town Square while the Voices of Liberty sang, and a flag was presented to Marshall. A monitor showed Ty Pennington and First Lady Michelle Obama talking to Marshall.
