Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

6/22 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, DHS Cars 2 Meet & Greet Update, Magic Kingdom Fantasyland

There is a new Wyndham being built in the Bonnet Creek area, with reservations being taken starting October 15th. This is the first time I've taken the turn into Bonnet Creek, which isn't owned by Disney – but it's situated extremely close to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (as well as the Pop Century).  I looked online after we drove through there, and all of the resorts within Bonnet Creek have great reviews and are priced less than expected. For dates in early July, the Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek was showing rates lower than $200.00 per night, or about the rack rate price of a moderate resort at Walt Disney World for that time period.  Guests would not enjoy early entry, Magical Express, or some other Disney perks, but it's still a great option for those looking to stay in the Walt Disney World area.

We first drove all the way into Bonnet Creek – the road was longer than I thought (I expected the hotels to all be close to the stoplight/entrance).  There is a small memorial bridge that few people will see, and I couldn't find any real information about it online.

We'll be checking out this area again soon, it's an unexplored area for me  – and while not on Disney property per se', it's just a few steps from it!
