4/15 Downtown Disney – New AMC Dine in Theater, Fun Finds Store, Little Miss Matched
Hi everyone!
We had some extra time while out for errands, so we stopped by Downtown Disney to see what was new. I was actually surprised how much has changed since my last trip a couple of weeks ago! Little Miss Matched is set to open on April 16th and the we just found out that the Lego Imagination Center is to open on April 19th (I am surprised, it doesn’t look close to opening!)
Our last few updates included a detailed look at the new Fantasyland Beast’s Castle, along with Angelica from the Pirates of the Caribbean 4, photos and video of the Art of Animation Resort construction, and the new Haunted Mansion mirror effects!
We parked at the Downtown Disney Marketplace, heading to the boat to take to the West Side.
Looking across the water, we saw a new Little Miss Matched sign – as well as some paint work already done:
The Lego temporary store:
Where the Winnie the Pooh store used to stand, a new store has opened. The shop is called Fun Finds, and while there are some discounted merchandise items (like Mickey’s Mart used to have), there is less of that sort of thing. The shop mostly has merchandise that is for sale elsewhere, posted with signs that say “$15.00 and under” or $10.00 and under”, etc.
More around the store:
Little Miss Matched should be open very soon, I am now told by the company that their Grand Opening is on 4/16 – they are already stocking shelves:
We took the boat to the West Side and walked back. The view from the water of the Lego Imagination Center, and then the upcoming Hyperion Wharf:
There are some new Vinylmation figures:
Artist signing on the 15th:
The Harley Davidson store will be moving where Little Miss Matched used to be:
The AMC Fork and Screen/Dine-In Theater is set to open next month.
This is what the building for the former Little Miss Matched looks like now:
Looking around what will soon be known as Hyperion Wharf:
A new Raglan Road sign:
Bailey’s Iced Shake:
The Lego Imagination Center, which is set to open on April 19th:
A new “African Cats” book is out.
This is a wonderful book from the Walt Disney Animation Studios Archive series, I’ve not seen it before on Disney property – this one is on Design , but there are others too.
We are heading out for Tonga Toast with friends tomorrow morning, followed by the Magic Kingdom! I’m also working on an updated Coronado Springs photo walk that should be up this afternoon, and soon another Club 33 article.
