4/8 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Construction, Epcot New “African Cats” Sand Castle
Hi everyone!
The Disney’s Art of Animation construction is really moving along – it’s been only two weeks since we last visited to take photos and video, but a lot has changed!
We drove by the front of the Art of Animation to get video first, these are some screen shots of the paint on the front of the building:
Some of the building’s at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are now enclosed, and some of them are just getting started:
Ducks have been out and about with their babies lately, and the Pop Century isn’t an exception to that:
Here is more of the Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which you can see also on our video – as what would have been the Pop Century Legendary Years becomes Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
Walking on the bridge between the two resorts, we saw 5 or 6 snapping turtles in the water:
View from the bridge:
And looking back to the Pop Century:
In the “Everything Pop” gift shop, Walt Disney comics:
Duffy Ears are popping up all over property:
Heading back out, the Pop Century jukebox icon was being worked on:
A few more photos looking at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort:
In the couple of days prior, we had gone to Epcot – I’ll be adding a new article today or tomorrow about some of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival activities that we’ve taken part in. We really enjoyed seeing the new sand castle (it’s the second one created, replacing the first) for the upcoming film African Cats:
We also enjoyed seeing more ducks with their offspring at the Canada pavilion:
And there is royal wedding merchandise for William and Kate at the United Kingdom’s Tea Caddy:
Take Time to Stop and Smell the Flowers on Your Way:
And a few evenings ago, we enjoyed Illumination’s from the UK pavilion.
So much is coming up in the next month or two – have you seen the prize for the Destination D Scavenger Hunt? Wow! But that same weekend is the Pixar Weekend at Epcot, so we need to fit that in as well (I’m just not sure how yet). This year has been really hopping at Walt Disney World – I need to take some time to smell the flowers myself. 🙂
