2/3 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Construction, New Duffy Merchandise, Magic Kingdom Update
Hi everyone!
We had a really nice day at Walt Disney World yesterday, the weather has been warm and we spent yesterday evening at the Magic Kingdom, enjoying the The Magic, The Memories and You! show before having dinner at 1900 Park Fare. But first, we stopped at the Pop Century Resort to take a look at what was going on with the construction at the Disney's Art of Animation Resort. (I also have a new update of Disney's Hollywood Studios!)
Before delving into Disney's Art of Animation Resort construction photos, I found this interesting – we bought some of these very cool and retro-looking 40th anniversary memo pads yesterday. I remember the ticket books, though I don't have any of my original tickets left. I can say though, that "The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management" was NOT part of my ticket books! 🙂 (I am a fan of the original Tiki Room)
It was noted to me that there is a misprint in the back cover too, in the Liberty Square area (a couple of attraction titles were not finished):
Have you seen our ongoing coverage of the Disney Dream?
Now onto Disney's Art of Animation Resort! We had stopped at the Pop Century yesterday to take some photos and video across the lake. I spent 6 years as a travel agent (Disney specialist), and booked upwards of 1000 trips for guests – and the #1 question I received was whether Disney had family suites. Eventually some were added to Disney's All Star Music Resort, but I'm delighted that there will be so many more! I took photos from different vantage pointsl. You'll see that the years haven't been removed yet from the main building or from the bridge later.
First, a few Disney's Art of Animation artist renderings from Disney:
And this is what the area currently looks like. Our video is here!
