10/26 Magic Kingdom Thunderbirds Flyover, Fantasyland Update, Haunted Mansion Rehab Photos and Video
Hi everyone!
Yesterday was a beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom as the Air Force Thunderbirds flew over the park as part of Air Force Week in Central Florida. Afterwards, we took some update pics and video around Fantasyland and of the Haunted Mansion work being done. (If you are interested in Tangled Play and Greet Photos and Video, I have those from a few days ago here).
I told my father (who has helped veterans for over 25 years) about the event at the Magic Kingdom, and he reminded me of all the military functions that I've been privileged to attend over the years. I was able to meet Air Force Secretary Sheila E. Widnall (the only woman to ever head a military service) in the late 90's at an event at the National Press Club and am so grateful for the service of all the men and women who fight for us every day. They are the heroes of our country.
While waiting for the parade to begin, I took this photo of the Town Square flag reflected in water:
The Main Street Philharmonic played twice while we waited. Military men and women, some with their families headed to the spots reserved for them on Main Street.
