9/18 Duffy the Bear Epcot Event, Food and Wine Festival Update

It will be interesting to see how Duffy will take off at Walt Disney World.  I am sure there are hopes that he will be as popular as the Harry Potter merchandise has been to Universal Studios. We did end up buying one – they are $25 each for a 17 inch bear, and it was $15.00 for the optional sailors outfit.  A very large percentage of the crowd bought one (or more) bears, Disney made quite a bit off of passholders yesterday. 🙂  We did get our discount (10% off for the regular pass or 20% off for premium), which I was told would likely be extended through the end of the year – there should be an announcement on that soon.  I read that Disneyland passholders are being extended until mid-January, 2011 so I expect that will be the same timeframe as we have.
