9/3 Art of Animation Resort (Formerly Pop Century Legendary Years) Photos and Video

We were visiting family at the Pop Century Resort yesterday, and decided to see how much construction was visible of the upcoming Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  We took photos and video from a number of different viewpoints (and a number of different buildings), and there is plenty of work going on – though nothing much on the buildings exteriors yet.  I am just very glad to see a new resort, especially one with so many family suites.

I was working at the Disney Reservation Center when the Pop Century Resort was scheduled to open, and 9/11 kept it from opening for a couple of more years.  After DRC, I was a Disney Specialist travel agent for 6 years, and always hoped that Disney would open the Legendary Years (though the Classic Years was a a lot more relevant to current guests in theme).  I worked with many families that needed more space, and often it would be hard to get 2 rooms guaranteed together at the value resorts.  That changed when the All Star Music opened some family suites – and I am delighted that more value suites will be available to guests in 2012!
