5/24/10 Star Wars Weekend and Toy Story Midway Mania Update
Hi everyone!
It was a great time at the first Star Wars Weekends, and we were able to ride the new Midway Mania Toy Story 3 ride several times! We have several hundred photos and at least 20 videos on YouTube from this past weekend. If you haven't seen Lotso Huggin' Bear at the Studios yet, we had photos and videos from opening day! *Update as of 5/29 – we have photos and video of the interactive C3PO as well!
Thank you to Jeff at JeffLangeDVD (the best in theme park fan DVD's) for helping with photos and video!
I wanted to start the update with a photo of Ashley Eckstein. We stood in line next to her at the Writers Stop and talked a little bit while waiting for carrot cake cookies (a favorite of mine!) She told us about her new company, Her Universe, which offers Star Wars fashions for women. The shirt she's wearing here is part of her line, and she does design some of the items herself. Ashley said she would love to have input from fans on what they'd like to see on the clothes. Her Universe will also have Star Wars themed jewelry, cosmetics and more! You can find Ashley at her Facebook Page.
Here are a handful of photos from Toy Story Midway Mania, which has added characters from the upcoming Toy Story 3! We have full video of the ride from yesterday here! The video shows where many of the extra characters are through the ride.
Bo Peep is still mentioned:

Onto the photo update from the first Star Wars Weekends of 2010! We have several hundred photos from 2 days. We have full video of the first "Legends of the Force" motorcade with R2-MK, and also the second one which was really fun when Dee Bradley Baker jumped out of the car to greet guests. We have a few photos of the parade with R2-MK, and then many more photos from Sunday closer to the end of the article. The celebrities for the weekend were hosts Jeremy Bulloch and Ashley Eckstein, as well as actors Tamuera Morrison, Daniel Logan and Dee Bradley Baker.
The welcome with Jeremy Bulloch:
