Stitch’s SuperSonic Celebration Soft Opening Photos and Full Video
Hi everyone!
I've been over to Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration now 4 times to videotape and photograph it. I was there opening day and one other day, and I think I'm Stitch'd out now. 🙂 You can find our FULL video coverage of it here (about 25 minutes!)
Thank you to JeffLangeDVD.com for hosting all of my videos! We have well over 100,000 views on our joint YouTube channel now. JeffLangeDVD has a lot of wonderful DVD's, current as well as vintage (like the popular Horizons 3 Disc Set and The Main Street Electrical Parade!)
This is what the building itself looks like, without anything going on:
There is a pre-show that lasts about 8 minutes, before the dancers take the stage. "Tip Trendo" is the lead (think the host of the show in Hairspray) and then the dancers – Mona (blue hair), Solara (yellow hair), Celestia (purple hair), and Nancy (red hair). You can hear the theme song on our videos, I personally don't care for it at all. Other songs are okay – popular songs like "These Boots are Made for Walking" and "Love Machine" are re-worked for the show. The worst part for me is the overuse of the Celebrate theme – but that is all over property now. I hope never in my life to again be asked "what are you celebrating?"
Stitch is an interactive character onscreen, with an actor voicing him. Most of the Stitch portion is similar from show to show except for when talking to members of the audience. This is actually my favorite part of the show.
