Adventurers Club Walt Disney World, September 2008

These photos are from a recent visit to the Adventurers Club.  It's hard to believe the Club will shut down on September 27th (except for some private functions, including an NFFC dinner in October).

My first visit to the Adventurers Club was in December, 1999. I had actually been inside the Club for all of 5 seconds or so previously, when a friend and I entered one evening. She proclaimed it "boring", and we went out the revolving door – barely skipping a beat.

I've been going to Walt Disney World for over 30 years, and it took me until the late 90's to make it to Pleasure Island.  I am told that I missed the heydey – but the Adventurers Club has alway been fun.   Well – once I made it past the revolving doors. 🙂  I have spent a lot of time with the rec.arts.disney.parks (RADP) group in the Mask Room!

I am just including photos, not putting extra commentary in between the pictures. If you've been to the Adventurers Club, you'll know what is going on. If not – then I can't explain it!  I do expect to go a couple of more times.
