A Visit to Cypress Gardens in April 2008 (Photos)
Hi everyone!
Eric from Orlando Fun Tickets took a group of us to Cypress Gardens. I hadn’t been in a long time, and it was a bit different than I remembered overall.
Here are photos from our visit!
Entering into the park (which reminded me a bit of Dollywood in atmosphere):
The gardens are really beautiful!
Here is a view from the Sunshine Sky Adventure, which slowly goes to 16 stories above the ground:
It was a nice ride.
More from around the park:
The Butterfly House:
Heading towards Natures Way:
This one was really cute!:
A view of the Sky Adventure, and more gardens:
We next did the ski show. I thought it was fantastic, definitely worth visiting the park for just in itself!
We then walked around an area that was more like old Florida. This may be my favorite area in the park! I love cypress trees, and nature in general.
A number of years ago, Cypress Gardens started adding rides. We didn’t have a lot of time for them (maybe an hour). The rides aren’t fancy – more like carnival rides, but I very much enjoyed the Triple Hurricane wooden coaster. I even ended up with 5 young kids who had no adult with them, so I was asked to watch over them for the ride. 🙂 I didn’t take too many photos of the area, since I was on the rides (and no cameras are allowed on anything we went on).
We went back on the Sky Adventure as our last attraction – it was a GREAT day! Thank you to Eric at Orlando Fun Tickets, as well as the wonderful folks at Cypress Gardens! I may need to get an annual pass there myself.
Thank you for checking out my Cypress Gardens photos!
