Teppan Edo Review
"Bob" from "Atlantic City" cooked our meal. When I asked him if he was born and bred there, he said no – that he just forgot his nametag. 🙂 I have no idea what his name is!
If you've eaten at Teppanyaki before, then you'll notice many things similar. I ordered the filet mignon, which is what I normally have had in the past. I did notice that the butter seemed to be less used (not a half brick of it when the food was cooking). My meal was excellent, from the iced green tea to the salad, filet and cake.
One of the very coolest things, the kids meal comes out in this dish (I have now been told it's a Japanese bullet train, but it looks just like a monorail – and that is what we all thought it was!) 3 out of 4 from our party – all adults – would have liked one. 🙂
Overall, the food is very similar, the differences seemed better (like my green salad). I'd mentioned before – if you liked Teppanyaki, you'll like Teppan Edo. The "entertainment" (as it was called several times) is pretty much the same. The atmosphere is definitely different, in a stylized, classy way. The bowing was hard for me, in that there was so much of it – like being hugged 200 times in an hour! 🙂 But I'm not complaining, it was probably the friendliest welcome I've ever received at a Disney restaurant.
