4/26 – A Tour of the Royal Asante Presidential Suite Room Photos, Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House
Hi everyone!
We paid a special visit to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House just a few days ago, where we spent a little time viewing the Royal Asante Presidential Suite. I toured a variety of suites at Walt Disney World during my 6 years as a Disney Authorized Vacation Planner. I even spent the night in Cinderella's Castle in 2007! But nothing I've seen on Walt Disney World property prepared me for this palatial suite.
The Royal Asante Suite is large – over 2000 square feet! But it's not just the size of the space that is impressive. I've stayed in other resort rooms on Disney property that came close to that size (including the Fairway Villas at the former Disney Institute). What gave me pause was the feeling that this suite was an extension of the resort. Other rooms are themed nicely, but the artwork and design in the Royal Asante Suite are exquisite and felt like they could be part of the lobby or other public area of the resort.
We have a full video tour here!
I found it hard to fit the doors to the suite in one photo!

I took photos of the entrance last – I almost forgot to! The doors open into a circular foyer, with a bathroom off to the side. Ahead, you can see the living room, the lights were already off when I took this:

This bathroom is well appointed, I love the stone vanity. The sink itself reminds me of the bathrooms outside of the Sanaa restaurant (at Kidani Village).
The spacious, circular living room includes a fireplace and a variety of seating options. There is also a real thatched ceiling!
I didn't realize that the rest of the group made it onto the balcony – I was busy inside, but I did snap this view through the curtain:
